Peer Support Community Art Project

Over a series of six sessions our group turned items from their wardrobes into works of art

Kindred Minds members were invited to take part in a journey of creativity over the late winter months

At the first meeting led by artist and creator Clare Jasmine Beloved they shared their memories of items of clothing that had been special to them for one reason or another.   People found that by remembering their wardrobe histories they could be transported through time and connect to memories of loved ones and friends, and special moments gone by.


Through the coming weeks they would work with paper, paint and collage to recreate these articles of clothing.  As they were transformed into works of art, these paper versions came to embody not only the longing for the past, but also the possibilities of the future.
